Stress can be a silent killer. There are so many health issues that can be derived from stressing out too much. Fatigue, headaches, and cramps just to name a few. I came to the unfortunate realization last year that the amount of stress in my life was reaching some seriously unhealthy levels, so I have been proactively trying to find activities that will help me to relax more.
So far, I’ve found that I really enjoy adult coloring books, going for walks, and reading. The zen coloring books that are super trendy right now really can help to take your mind off of negative aspects of your life and allow you to enjoy doing something simplistic. Going for walks during nice days has helped me to clear my head and get a fresh outlook on issues I initially found to be very pressing. And reading allows me to simply escape into someone else’s world for a while and journey with them as they solve their own set of issues. And sometimes, seeing how characters solve their problems has actually helped me to solve my own.
